1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Booking details, such as your name, email, phone number, the service you choose and your appointment time, when you book through our online booking system (see section 3).
• Contact details and messages you send when you email, call or text us, or submit an inquiry form on the Site where one is offered.
• Your mobile number, if you text us or agree to receive text messages from us.

Please don’t send health or medical information through the Site. Questions that matter for your treatment, such as skin sensitivities or medications, are best discussed with your esthetician at your appointment.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser information, such as IP address, browser type, operating system and screen size.
• The pages you view and the website, search engine or AI assistant (such as ChatGPT or Perplexity) that referred you, when your browser shares it.
• Marketing parameters in the link you arrived from, such as UTM tags and advertising click IDs (for example Google’s gclid or Meta’s fbclid).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To book, confirm, remind you about and provide your appointments.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To send texts or emails you have agreed to receive, including appointment reminders and offers.
• To understand which channels (search, social, referrals, AI assistants, ads) bring visitors to us, and to improve the Site.
• To keep the Site secure, comply with the law, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Online Booking Through Zenoti

Our online booking runs on Zenoti, a salon booking and management platform. When you book, whether on our Book page or on Zenoti’s own booking pages, the information you enter is collected through Zenoti and shared with us so we can manage your appointment. Zenoti processes that information under its own privacy policy and terms, which are available on its booking pages, and may set its own cookies when its booking pages load.

4. Text Messages (SMS)

Opting in

If you text our studio line, or give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, you agree to receive text messages from Sugar Pop Salon at that number. These may include appointment confirmations and reminders, replies to your questions, and, only if you have opted in to marketing messages, offers and promotions.

Frequency and rates

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for our text messages.

Opting out and help

Your number stays with us

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing. We share it only with providers that deliver messages on our behalf, who may use it for that purpose alone.

5. Cookies, Local Storage and Services We Use

The Site stores a small record in your browser’s local storage noting how you first and most recently arrived (for example, from a search engine or a social post). It contains no name or contact details unless you later send them to us in a form, at which point it is sent along with your inquiry so we know how you found us.

We also use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the Site. It uses cookies to recognize returning browsers and records pages viewed, the referring source and general device information, along with the arrival details above.

Your privacy signals

• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of sharing your data for advertising, and we apply it before any Google tag loads.
• Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Google Analytics and advertising storage are off by default, and the Site does not store the arrival record described above.

Services we use

These providers handle data for us, each under its own privacy policy:

• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: website analytics and measuring which channels bring visitors to us.
• Zenoti: online booking and appointment management.
• HighLevel (GoHighLevel): customer relationship management, inquiry handling and message delivery.
• Vercel: website hosting.

You can clear local storage and block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Online booking may not work if cookies are blocked.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:

• With service providers listed above, who may use it only to provide their services to us.
• For legal reasons, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Sugar Pop Salon, our clients or others.
• In a business transfer, such as a sale or reorganization of our business, subject to this Policy.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this Policy, to meet legal and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. Your Choices and Requests

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails or texts at any time. Email heysugar@sugarpopsalon.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep information we are legally required to retain. If the law where you live gives you additional privacy rights, we will honor them as that law requires, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian’s consent for services, as described on our Book page.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site links to other websites, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Google Maps. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
